COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thor, one of our favorite four-legged friends had a big, gentle heart to match his huge, smiling, slobbering face. Jeff, Thor’s best friend and owner, says that the gentle giant would pull him in the direction of the brewery on their walks, to park it by the garage door, get some love and smell what’s cookin’. He brightened everyone’s day and is missed by all. This Imperial Porter is made in memory of the big guy. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue.

Bottle share at DLD 2014. Pour is deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor of coffee grounds, dark caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, and espresso. Finish has a bit of lactose and licorice. Strange porter, but good.

AWISLguy (1178) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 17, 2014
Bomber from Andersonville Wine & Spirits. Batch 320/321, so batch date was early January. Cellared a month, and served colder than cellar temperature. Pour a dark brown with a cafe au lait head. Strings and spots of lace. Aroma has lots of caramel and molasses; later down in the glass, there is chocolate and some roast and maybe black licorice. Taste is of sweet caramel, bakers chocolate, espresso and some lactose. Medium to full bodied. Some alcohol present. Finishes nicely blended between bitter and sweet. Another stellar effort from Pipeworks!

Rich dark pour with a thin frothy head. Light carbonation which seems to be a signature of Pipeworks. Bitter coffee first sip followed by mellow sweet.

Black pour from draft at local option. No head. Nutty spicy aroma. Mild hop. Chocolate cocoa and bitter taste. Very good beer

Bomber crushed with my Honkey. Bottle barely let out a hiss when I cracked the cap. Immediately worried. Pitch black opaque pour with no head. Not much on the nose. Bit of roast i guess. No off flavors, but nothing jumps out either. Sweet flavor, some roast. So bland.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark blackish brown with a small tan head the dissipates into a rim around the glass. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, and roast notes. Mild coffee. Flavor is very sweet, lots of residual sugars, milk chocolate, marshmallow notes. On the verge of cloying. Very low carbonation really drags this beer down. It’s also somewhat watery. Sweet and weird. No thanks.
