Bottle sample at Muckfest V on 7/12/14. Clear copper pour with no head. Aroma of caramel, toffee and booze. Malty flavor giving way to bourbon and caramel before a sweet finish.

Dark murky brown pour with a bit of off white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, candied apples, and vanilla. Lots of vanilla and fruit in the taste with a touch of candy sweetness. The booze is hidden well.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with a white head. Bourbon and malt aromas. Sweeter and maltier that the base beer with low brow bourbon, oak, and vanilla sub tones. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle - Pours hazy brown with a thin off-white head. Nose is sweet caramel and sharp heat, bold malt, sugary sweetness. Real sweet and caramelly, with yeastiness and bold malt. Sweet barrel rather than hot. Slick and medium bodied.

Bottle (12 oz). Extra from Rich, thanks! Reddish brown with a small quickly disappearing beige head. Aroma is of bourbon (boozy) with toffee, caramel, toffee, toasted malt, vanilla and wood. Taste is moderately sweet with bourbon, toffee, caramel, malt, vanilla, wood and a warming finish. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Woodsy finish. Complex and tasty, but too boozy and lack of balance. Good sipper.
