UPDATED: DEC 13, 2013 Bottle shared by Jack at beer study. Pours a deep hazy orange with a sticky white head. Nose is strong citrus, light tropical, some cotton candy sweetness. Flavor is similar. Nicely done and pretty well balanced, considering.

Bottle... Murky, dark peach ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose is a swirl of tropical fruits and melons – like a creamy guanabana, guava, papaya, and pineapple milk shake. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. The flavor is an assortment of fruity, malty, sweet nectars blended with rindy, pithy, bitter hops. Slightly astringent, bittersweet, super-fruity finish. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

Bomber. Bottled on Wed. Batch # 255 56 57 62. Smells like citrus. I get pineapple. I get that in the flavor too with grapefruit and lemon. Medium body. Another great from a great brewery.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Pours a dark, hazy orange color with a finger lenth of a white head that goes away slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Smells of dank, juicy passionfruit, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, lemon, grass, and some carmel. Taste starts with lots of dank tangerine, mango, and grapefruit. Has a candied sweetness. The middle brings more of the perviously mentioned fruits, as well as passionfruit and a slight carmel sweetness from the malt. The finish is amazingly flavorful. More tropical fruits and passion fruit, accompanied by grapefruit rind, tangerine, blood orange, little grass, and a piney bitterness. The candied and carmel sweetness are there to just slightly balance the hop qualities. High medium body with a creamy and oily texture. Slight heat as it goes down, but that is expected for a 9.5% beer. No alcohol to taste or smell. This may be Pipeworks best double ipa offering. An outstandingly flavorful and drinkable double ipa that shows off the galaxy hop remarkably. Seek this out.

Bottle - Pours hazy golden with thin bubbly head. Nose is dank and stinky mango hoppiness, a little garlic, cat pee, and a little pine. Taste is real astringent, with pine, citrus peel, and light pale malt. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle, sent from StFun (thanks Josh), pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of orangey hops, wheat, some resin and syrupy caramel malts. Flavour brings out pungent resinous hops, tropical fruits, oranges, and slightly syrupy caramel malts. Quite an astringency from the hops, yet the caramel malt is very prominent as well. Good stuff, but too heavy on the malts for me and the malt is a bit too syrupy for me. Overrated.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Batch 81. Enjoyed in a tulip. Poured a slightly cloudy orange hue with a 2 finger head. Nose is earthy with a grassy bit with nice peach and mango notes. Taste is very well rounded. Extreme bitterness. Lots of citrus. Very earthy and drinkable. Only annoying thing is the big malt presence but it is a 9.5% IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle generously shared by the nice lady sitting next to me at the preHunahpu Thursday tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is an explosion of tropical fruit hops with some citrus pith, Unicorn tears, and some caramel. Flavor is the same caramel with a ba-bomb of Galaxy hops and tropical fruit and a bit of booze with a hint of bliss on the end. Just a hint. Outstanding Galaxy IPA.
