4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured from a bomber into a Half acre tulip
Yellowish orange body, lightly hazed with a white foam head that leaves slight lacing in the glass. Retention is good.
Explosion of tropical Galaxy hops in the aroma, mango, orange, passionfruit, a light fruity sweetness plus a hint of the wheat. .
Juicy mango and orange peel flavors at first, with a resiny bitter orange zest that lingers into the finish. Caramel hints in the aftertaste. Creamy feel, almost perfect. Not to sweet or boozy .... you would have thought it couldnít get any better than Citra Ninja or Ninja v Unicorn and then Galaxy comes along and takes the lead...Cheers! Merry Fitzmas!~

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Cardinal-Niles. Pours lightly hazed golden orange with a while head. Aroma is amazing with fresh dank hops, pineapple, and orange citrus. Flavor of oh so fresh orangish citrus hops, tons of tropical fruit, and just enough malt to keep it honest. Nice punch of hop bitterness. Perfect balance of hops and lighter malts. Not overly bitter and no overload of sweet malts. Best IIPA i had in a long time.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Another great Imperial IPA by Pipeworks. Every bit as good as Citra Ninja and Ninja vs. Unicorn.
Beautiful looking--hazy yellow. First impression of aroma was kiwi and tangerine. Mango, too. Tropical fruits throughout. Nice mouthfeel. Some stickiness. Not as sweet as Something Hoppy. Mild maltiness, but present. Pine character in the bitterness--and it is quite bitter. Delicious beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Cracked open and spent a good few minutes taking in the dank basementy aroma, mouth watering in anticipation (plus, I had to finish my tacos). Pours a slightly hazy orange-ish (apricot color) that is surprisingly clearer than I imagined it would be. Very little in the way of s head, but before it dissipated, it was white. Mouth is an amazing burst of pine and tropical fruit (heavy on the mango, grapefruit and guava) with a huge bitter midsection accompanied by some white grape-ness. Surprisingly light mouthfeel compared to similar beers Iíve had (including the OG of P-Dub íNinja v. Unicorní) but fantastic all the same. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. God, please let this not be the only batch they make of this. I donít know if itís due to my stretch of drinking a lot of dark beers the past month, but this is the most remarkable IPA that Iíve quaffed (yes, I said "quaffed"!) in a long time. Even better than the Citra Ninja.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 Wowfrangelicfrumpicagiligactic this is dank! Super dank, ripe grapefruit, mango, tangerine, pineapple, everything delicious. Tastes resinously bitter, second tier sweet. Onion notes of saltiness very present. Just a whole lot of fresh dank greatness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
One of the most pungent aromas Iíve ever smelled upon cracking open a bottle-- you would have though it was a 22oz container of candied peaches and melons, packaged in hibiscus tea, itís that tropical and fruity smelling.
But then you pour what looks like a pretty "normal" beer-- light, lagery color, mostly clear.
And then the taste resembles neither the appearance or the smell-- sharp earthy, gritty, bitterness with a relatively light mouth feel. It doesnít feel as thick or syrupy as Ninja v Unicorn or Blood of the Unicorn.
A really interesting IIPA. I wish theyíd balanced out the bitterness with a bit more of the sweet, but itís really hard to complain about, for any true hop lover-- especially as long as you keep breathing in deeply as you drink (the smells really interact with the flavors heavily in this one).

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle purchased at my FwB location, wlv. first sample had out of the tank prior to release.. pours a lightly hazy, medium transparent golden copper penny hue and topped with a creamy thin to medium frothy spotty white head... aroma starts of fairly citrus forward, almost citra like but after a bit of swirling the dank tropical fruity galaxy-ness that i have grown to love comes into play more. a bit more melon fruit surfaces now to coincide with the aforementioned. a like the kind of odd grapey dankness that galaxy delivers, almost just a touch more than citra. but both hops are well within my wheelhouse... flavors are a continuation of the same if not slightly sweetened through the middle with a tangerine citrusy component with a clean malt profile. more melon character develops before a fairly assertive bitter pithy note establishes itself leaving a lasting impression on the palate. the bitter finish is long and very far from subtle, much like citra ninja was to begin with but mellowed out after a week or so (that iíve had many times already, love it). i would say that the end result is somewhat similar to what the citra provided, that being a positive thing, with that extra swank that galaxy throws into the ring. i find a lot of similarities between the two with this one having more of that fresh galaxy nose. clean malt base provides adequate sweetnedd and balance overall. iím a hard critic when it comes to hoppy offerings but i enjoyed this one quite a bit. itís got some chutzpah, thatís for sure, and makes me a little warm even. canít wait for smaller versions of these brews, once they come out. luckily i have willing and able personas who will glady share this with me although i must say that i took this one in as a solo effort mostly, but i digress....warm fuzzy love to the pw crew. i keep swirlin this thing, and loving that galaxy in the nose. drink now.
