3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle with Sean Tommy. Pours a cloudy amber with thick beige head and terrific lace. Nose of pine, grapefruit, caramel, toffee. Clearly not fresh. Medium mouthfeel with moderately bitter finish. Some pine flavor but mostly a malt bomb. Probably a great beer fresh.

Aroma is straight up hops, all up in this. Citrus, tropical fruit, pine resin, orange and lemon. Awesome. I could drink this everyday.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
(3/24/13) Pour - Pours an inviting orange that leads towards red with two fingers of fluffy white head.
Nose - Lots of sweet tropical fruitiness with some floral and bitter notes. The bitterness is a mix of pine and grapefruit. Iím getting some alcohol on the back end as well. This nose is just awesome on this brew - like a hoppy tropical drink.
Taste - The taste is bitter balanced with sweet. The bitter is pine, maybe a bit of grapefruit. The sweet is the tropical fruits from the nose. The tropical fruits and pine coalesce into the finish along with a floral dryness. Just like the nose, this is like a tropical fruit juice blend with a hop kick.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with a slight syrupy texture. It sticks to your mouth like fruit juice too.
Overall - I keep relating this to fruit juice and it drinks just as easily. The bitter and sweet flavors are balanced wonderfully, with maybe the sweetness edging out the bitterness, and the bitterness is actually quite mild when compared to other DIPAs. If Stone Ruination 10th is on the bitter end of the spectrum then this is definitely on the sweet end. If you want a sweet DIPA then this is your brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Adam! Pours hazy orange amber with a medium beige creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is very cat pissy, pine resin, citrus, a touch of tropicalness. Flavor is the same, light sweet and medium bitter, resinous. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, a bit harsh in general.

22 ounce bottle shared multiple times at Berliner bash, poured a deep cooper color with aromas of pine, grapefruit, and light drank hops. Flavors were a thirst quenching citrusy and pine blend with some light malt and bitterness on the back end. Solid DIPA.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Batch 169. Pours a hazy copper orange color with half finger head that immediately dissipated to a thick ring of lacing. Smells interesting. Lots of melon, grapefruit, pine resin, floral notes, and some carmel and bready notes. Taste pretty much mimics the smell. Starts with hefty doses of grapefruit and melon. Get a nice addition of dough and toffee from the malts in the middle. The finish is pretty resinous and brings notes of melon, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine, and grass. Get a little malt character too to balance it a little, but the finish still leaves a lingering abrasive bitter taste. Also get some booze on the finish and definitely warms you up. Full body with a sticky and oily feel to it that could be improved. This is a big and hoppy brew that showcases the New Zealand hops nicely.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with off white head. Nose and taste of peach, mango, caramel malt, papaya, tropical fruit and cantaloupe. Dank earth. The first 12 ounces were terrific then it gets a little more perfumy/alcohol as it warms. Medium body.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from West Lakeview. I had really no idea what to expect with this one, but I donít pass up Pipeworks IPAs when I can find them in the Chicago area. Poured a deep shade of brown and was heavy on the malty boozy flavor. It certainly had a hoppy finish. I didnít get much of the floral notes that the description indicates. Good beer, albeit a little different than I was expecting.
