Copper color with a small white head. Hop aroma. Flavor is bitter and hoppy, but not in a good way. This looks to be an old bottle, but the year was not marked.(Choice of 97,98,99)

Maltier and a bit fuller bodied than what I'm used to in an american pale ale. More english style, I think. Very good, nonetheless, with a pleasant pale malt character and a good hop presence.

Note: Another ’Lost in Space rating’ ???!!! Pours a nice clear gold to amber color, nice white head and fair lace. Malt nose, the front is slightly sweet, the top light, the finish is dry, moderately carbonated, slightly acidic, with a nice hop bite.

This is a great Pale Ale brewed right here on the banks of the Ohio. It opens to a great aroma reminding you of barley waving across the bluegrass. A taste and it’s full bodied on the tongue and smoother than the Call To The Post at Churchill Downs. Then the flavor hits you like a run-away coal barge on the Ohio River. It finishes with a hoppy bitterness that reminds you that life is fleeting and we should enjoy it while we can. I should note here that BBC has bought out Pipkin Brewing and they will not be making my favorite ale any longer so I urge you to enjoy it while you can.
