4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Piraat on draught is a wonderul experience. Poured in a fluted goblet with a medium head. The color is a rich ruby to deep amber. Hops pour from the glass with an intriguing floral bouquet. The flavor is mostly hops with a great balance of caramel malt. Slightly sweet malt flavor balance with dry floral hop flavor mask the definate presence of alcohol.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden color, huge, white and pillowy head. Yeasty, fruity and alcoholic aroma. Sweet, fruity, slightly alcoholic flavor with yeast and orange-peel. Smooth, medium-carbonated mouthfeel. Hides the ABV quite well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 22, 2004 Definitely a bready, yet interesting belgian golden pour (resembling a trippel). Generic in appearance, but a nice spicy flavor that hides the alcohol extemely well. Hops really only appear at the end. I missed the sweetness that others mention. Only the poor quality of my poker play could attest to the 10.5 ABV.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good golden glassy color, and a thin head to it. Aroma isnt too tell-tale compared to the flavor, which is where its at. Good crispness to it, but still holds to a good sweentess and complexity.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2005 Bottled. Hazy yellow, like a wit bier. Large, white head and a little carbonation. Sweet, floral aroma. The taste is lacking with lots of corn flake like sweetness. Flavor also has tangerine and malt. Way too sweet. I wouldn’t want more than one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled, at the Dovetail, London.
Rich golden coloured body with medium to large Belgian style white vale. Sweet floral aroma, which is soft and smooth. The flavour and palate follow suit. The beer is rich complex and well balanced. I very nice rate. Georgie’s birthday, with the girls.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy orange body, small white head. Alcoholic, malty, bready aroma. Alcohol really comes through in the flavor, somewhat dominating it. Dry, sweet finish. I take off a few points for the pervasiveness of the alcohol flavor.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great beer! Swirls into the glass, very cloudy orange body topped by a frothy, tall white head of tightly packed bubbles, beautiful. Sweetly persuasive, urging you to drink increasingly large amounts until you can stand no more, but it still comes on with relentless fury. Despite this, it remains a fantastic beer that I enjoy more each time.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden in color with a large dense bubbled white head. Aroma is of yeast, alcohol, bugspray, sweet malt, fruit and spice.Flavor is consistant with the aroma.Way too much alcohol, not balanced, would be much better if it were 7-8% ABV.
