COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Very bright gold color, with a huge, foamy, white head. Biscuity flavor. Very hoppy and bitter, with a bit of sourness as well.

I like the subtle spices and the amount of hops. I kept thinking of that yellow Hawaiian bread. Tasty beer! I Bright and golden.

Pours a hazy amber topped with a massive white foam head. Great lace and retention. Faint malty sweetness in the aroma with some grass and soft white pepper. Flavours are big on this one! Huge malt profile of sweet malts with a massive honey-like character and notes of tropical and candied fruits. Alcohol rips the palate with warmth and a sting of spice, then gives way to a smooth grassy bitterness and big dose of pepper. Prickly carbonation accentuates with a sharp edge. Some sappy pine notes lurk. Dirty yeast in the finish with a tea-like flavour, spice and lingering alcohol fumes on the palate. One of my all-time favourites. The incredibly bold flavours and nice little alcohol warmth all make this an enjoyable beer.

Draft. Lite golden color. Med head. Aroma of malt sugars and some hops. Taste is med sweet, with lite bitter. Hint of raisons. Strong tasting, packed with flavor. I can’t taste the "lots of hop"m mostly malt sugars. But is very drinkable.

From the 330 ml. bottle marked 02FJ-14:18. An attractive, slightly amber pour with a large silky head and an upward trickle of carbonation. The aromas are of dough, malts, some sort of fruit, and hops. Overall it smells delightful. Pretty good body. The taste packs more of an alcohol punch that is not as noticeable in the aroma but it is smooth overall.
