Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 26, 2008 Squat little dusty bottle of unknown vintage found in a corner at Lueken’s in Dunedin, FL. Pours murky brackish brown with gold streaks and edges to go along with a light colored tan head. The aroma first attacks with fruitiness coming from sweet grapes and sweet apples then softens up with smooth muted spices and earthiness. Another draw brings up prunes, figs and over ripe cherries. The taste is punctuated by bubbly carbonation creating bold yet smooth notes of apples, grapes and then sweet Belgian candi sugar. Then by midway the fruitiness becomes darker and richer and accompanied by smooth blended spice notes. It ends pretty dry with a lingering an apple, raisin and grape mixture. BigBang (210), Indiana, USA Nov 17, 2008 On tap. Pours yellow with a nice head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is very fruity - flavor is some pear, apple. Mouthfeel is decent. Strong and goes down nicely. terrybail (331), London, Ontario, Canada Nov 15, 2008 330ml bottle from the LCBO as part of a Belgian Ale Sampler pack

garthicus (1216), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 1, 2008 Bottle from variety pack. Colour; amber yellow, huge frothy white head. Aroma: Yeast and spice, very mild alcohol in the aroma also, some spices. Flavour: Malt, spices, alcohol, plums, with a bitter malt finish. Not bad. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Oct 27, 2008 330ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a nice white head, goos retention, good lace. Smells lightly yeasty and bready with a hint of clove and spice. Tastes about the same. Lightly malty and yeasty with some bread and a hint of clove and spice. Nice. Medium body, nice carbonation. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 20, 2008 This is a beautiful golden brew pouring with a massive creamy head. The nose is citrus fruits, the palate banana, pineapple, lemon, and orange against a honey backdrop and alcohol warmth. Damned good beer. MexiFinn (42), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 18, 2008 Interesting but, looking at all the glowing ratings for this brand maybe I must of gotten a bad bottle or something... this is the first $10 bottle of beer that I dumped the majority of down the sink. Tasted like an orange soda made with orange peels, fizzy with an alcohol afterbite. Must be the European equivalent of King Cobra if you add a couple shots of vodka to pump up the ABV? Real pirates should stick to rum... Yo ho, and cheers. DragonsHead (137), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 17, 2008 This is one of the only belgian beers I really like. It has such a fruity, and nutty spiced taste. If I could bathe in it, I would.
