Cloudy, dark golden liquid with small head. Aroma is rich in roasty malt, fruity and slightly floral notes. The taste also has a slight sweetness, the texture is a bit oily with a lively carbonation.

Pours hazy but a golden orange. Looks like a piece of fruit. Pure white head lingers indefinitely. Malt and honeycomg dominate a beautiful nose. Orange highlights. This has a beautiful scent. Rich, full velvety mouthfeel coats the mouth. The alcohol is a little hot. Flavors of chewy biscuit, fruit stays on the lips. This is a great beer....and the white head is still lingering.

Crystal clear bright amber color w/ frothy white head. Sweet malt & fruit aroma. Very nice taste: Sweet, malty, doughy, surprisingly mild and smooth. Notes of bread dough, caramel and a little fruity. Underneath the big belgian malt it has a very familiar good old fashioned beer flavor. I guess what I mean by that is the sweet malt doesn’t overpower and still lets the taste of barley and hops through. Texture is rich and creamy. Big ABV is well hidden. Very impressed.

Good fiery orange colour with a big white head. Intensely malty nose, with lots of sugary and citrus fruits, yeast and bubble gum. Flavour much similar to nose, lots of sweet candied sugar, waffle cones, lemon, sweet orange, light vanilla and hints of banana and yeast. Maybe some clove in there as well. Warming, but the alcohol isn’t out of place for being above 10%. Quite good, very sweet, would probably age fairly well.

Pours a golden yellow, with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet, with fruit and a little alcohol. Flavor is yeasty, with malt, spices and fruit. The finish is primarily yeast and alcohol.

Part of a Belgian sampler that was an unexpected gift this was syruppy but not a total mess. Having tried it I doubt I’ll be picking up more - there are simply too many other choices from Belgium to buy. Ultimately this beer is not flawed; it just lacks any compelling reasons for me to revisit it in the future.
Aroma / Appearance - Rosy honey and semi-opaque it glowed by the firelight. A clear oily lacing slid down the edges of the glass like wax. Wheat, honey, and plain cheesecake with a sweet glazing is accented further by orange marmalade. Lingering in the air the ABV makes no attempt to hide itself.
Flavor / Palate - Creamy and chewy the mouthfeel is like the filling of a candy bar. Cloying and heavy it distracts from the taste of white bread soaked in honey. The sweet aftertaste sticks like orange glo freshly applied to hardwood floors. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this; it just lacks any punch that makes it worth more attention. If it was toned down to 8% or so that would be better.

Bottle. Pours a copper-honey color with a nice frothy white head and lacing. Aromas of spice, yeast, bread on pour. Analogous flavors. Has a bit of bite on the back of the palate along w/ a moderate alcohol burn, certainly more than your average beer. Light to medium bodied. Some carbonation. Overall nice.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2010 Pours a cloudy honey color. Aroma of fruits, spice, bread, bubblegum and pine. Flavor is fruity and spicy, banana and bread. Nice and easy drinking.
