COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Gold pour, thick white head. Dusty aroma with apple cider character, spice, breadiness, cloves. Syrupy and viscous on the palate with well hidden alcohol. Tastes of brown sugar, apples, spice, a little earthiness, some metallic character. Pretty drinkable for the abv, which hits hard, but not the tastiest stuff.

750 ml. Pours a slightly cloudy glowing orange with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy and fruity, aggressive yet still delicate. The fruits are very fresh, unripe and slightly tart. A bit boozy. Flavor starts with a sweet caramel and fruity note. Cinnamon spices really come through and the sweet bread notes really balance the fruit and spice. Medium body and a spritzy carbonation. Nice Belgian strong ale, the booze is present but works to compliment the rest of the characteristics.

From a 330?ml into a snifter. Pours blond with a TON of frothy white head. Not much lacing considering the amount of head, just a couple of tufts here and there. Aroma is sweet and slightly funky. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a good amount of heft and stickyness to it. Taste is hoppy, bitingly hoppy, with flavors of syrup, alcohol, funk, mint and pineapple. A decent Belgian IPA; it’s certainly hoppy enough to be called an IPA, but just an OK beer.

330 ml bottle from gift pack. Pours a lightly hazy deep gold with large, rocky, slightly off-white head. Sweet fruit (banana, apple), clove and yeast aroma. Flavour similar but with strong alcohol presence giving a real burn to the finish. Decent.

Cloudy orange, almost no head. Big alocohol and sweet malt aroma, with a touch of wine. Very viscous. Very boozy, alcoholic flavor. Actually kind of a chore to finish.

Fairly basic looking beer with a head that lasts forever. Aroma has faint berry smell. Taste is spicy and a bit fruity, not bad but a little too boozy.
