This is going to become one of my favorite backup Belgians - when I can’t think of anything else I want to try, and am not in the mood for something more adventurous. It’s like something from Unibroue (think La Fin du Monde) except with the requisite complexity of a real Belgian. Aroma of light, sweet malts and fruits. Drinks like a champagne - the alcohol is well-hidden, and it certainly has a dry finish. Great stuff. mlee (1), Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2008 light aroma of sourdough bread, crisp, tingles tip of toungue, slight bite on back of toungue

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Hazy bright golden, big bubbly head that fades fairly quickly. Sweet doughy and fruity yeast aroma. Sweet malty palate with a fruity yeastiness and mild spiciness. Medium bodied, with just-right carbonation, and a dry finish. The alcohol is very well hidden. I usually find that many belgians become too sweet for me with their candy-sugar maltiness, but this remained srinkable and enjoyable for the entire 750ml (i did share it with Parksy mind you). pickled (47), New Zealand
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Hopsey and fluffy-headed - reminds me of Duvel though this is slightly more bitter and woody. The alcohol could be very dangerous as you can’t really taste the 10.5%. gam (1081), brisbane, Australia

The taste was hoppier than I expected. Good balance but definitely a full flavored beer. Overall it was a good beer but I don’t think it was totally my style.
