COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Hefty alcohol punch lined with fruity aromas. Not much head to speak of, great amber colour.

Yeasty and banana aromas. Pours a hazy gold with a billowing head with sticky lace. Lots more yeast flavors, bread dough with clove, a touch of cardamon. Finishes hot and alcohol forward.

Very strong belgium beer that really does pack a punch this pours with a dark golden head and has a strong aroma of alchol and hops. A little to bitter and rough for my tastes

11.2 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy golden color with a large frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is very bready and yeasty with lots of fruity notes primarily raisin, citrus, peach. Candi sugar, clove and cinnamon as well. The taste is bread, candi sugar, mustard seed, cinnamon, clove, raisins, citrus, booze and pepper. Very warm. Full bodied. Good beer.

Slightly fruity aroma with dough/yeast smells. Nice, thick white head. Golden amber in color with a lot of carbonation present. Great lacing. Bitter aftertaste with an alcohol taste present. Has a complex flavor. Has the Belgium yeast flavor but the alcohol is too evident for my taste. Ok beer but there are better Belgiums.

Poured a bright illuminating golden color with a huge head. After a couple minutes when the foam went down, the aroma hit me with strong notes of honey, alcohol and wheat. Taste was very rich, sort of zesty. Green apple, pear and lemon on the nose. Flavors were pleasent, with a noticeable alcohol in the back of the mouth.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2009 Pours clear and golden with a medium-sized white head. Smells of light malt and alcohol, with just a hint of banana. Tastes is surprisingly sweet at first with substantial hops addition. Transitions into a smooth yeast flavor. Surprisingly heavy for the color.
