Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden clear yellow with a huge white head. Fruity. yeasty, slight brett-ish aroma, not sure this is 100% clean, but flavour was quite nice anyway. Flavour is fruity, solid sweet caramel malt base and a nice yeasty mellow note. Ends with a nice lingering fruity and yeasty flavours with a touch of caramel and a little alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Very hoppy beer, yeast and fruit aroma. Musky look. orange with a thin white head. Smoky, fruit, a little bit of ginger with a zest flavour. Strong alcohol content but easy to drink and makes you want to keep sipping.

Nice beer. Pours a hazy gold with a delicate white head, nice lace. The flavor is sweet malt and yeast--very nicely balanced. The finish is dry and clean. Quite drinkable.

33 cl bottle in Piraat tulip glass. Pours dark golden yellow with a huge white head that dissipates quickly with hardly any lacing. Aroma is fruity with yeast. Initial taste is sweet malt, some hops and yeast. Decent but not great.

Poured from bottle a orangish blonde with a slightly orange citrusy aroma. The initial taste is overly sweet malt and yeast with a bit of toastiness. Not a lot of carbonation or acidity is present which would make this beer easier to drink. I would order it only if there was no other belgians present.

On tap. Poured a golden orange. Aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and yeast. Tastes of malt and bready with some sweet fruits in the background. Alcohol is pretty well hidden but you can tell its there. Good brew.

bottle. pours deep orange with a small white head. Smells of sour yeast and dough. The flavor is rounded out and rather smooth, peach and plum are present. The finish has a strong alcohol way to it. Decent belgian golden ale.

Hazy amber with medium short lasting white head. Aroma is sweet with peach, plums and yeasty notes. Sweet malty flavor with fruits, yeast, spices and alcohol. Nice warming end.
