Sep 25, 2007 Bottled. Medium golden color with a moderate haze. Plenty of carbonation, good head development with plenty of bright white lacing; a very nice appearance. Lemon peel, ginger and some coriander in the aroma. Malty mouthfeel with flavors of yeast, ginger and orange. Warm high alcohol finish on the palate. Average brew.

Sep 25, 2007 Pours a hazy, orange-tan color with a massive white, fluffy, rocky head leaving some nice lace. Nose is pleasant and predictable; orange, corriander, pie crust, lightly spicy and estery yeast, and some herbal hops. Flavor is sweeter and fruitier than most examples of the style; fruit notes of orange, banana, and a light tropical fruit note (papaya?), pie crust, yeast, spices of corriander and light pepper, and a subtle herbal hop presence. Palate is medium, lively, and a bit dry but still somewhat creamy. Finishes drying out some with warmth, spices and herbs diminishing, yeasty crust notes and lingering orange. It doesn’t exactly fit the mold of the golden Belgain style but does set itself apart with such interesting fruit notes. Not overly complex but quite drinkable and unexpected.

Sep 24, 2007 Updated: Sep 27, 2007Pours rich yellow with a thick white head. Looked great in a Duvel Tulip. Had a very thick woody flavor with some hops that the finish that really rounded it out really well.

Sep 22, 2007 pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. has an aroma of belgian fruits and yeast, with spicy floral notes. medium bodied that is slightly sticky. caramel malt and bread flavor with pineapple, bananas and a light clove note. alcohol is fairly strong on the nose and taste, definitely not hidden well, but not really in a bad or overpowering way. surprisingly drinkable despite the strength and intensity

Sep 19, 2007 draft on Talk Like a Pirate Day, only appropriate! Sugary aromas, hints of banana esters, some citrus, spicy belgian yeast aromas. Pours cloudy gold with with thick white head. Sweet, malty, spicy, a noticable hop presence, some lighter fruit flavors, a pretty good belgian ale.
