thewolf (5662), Kolding, Denmark Jul 23, 2007 Bottle, from Kolding Vinhandel. BBE: 9-8-07. Pours a muddy orange with a thin white head. Loads of yeast particles. Aroma has alcohol, oranges, slight fruity tartness. Flavour is sweet with a definite vinious fruity straetch to it. There are some distant spices as well as oranges en masse. Perhaps a bit too much alcohol compared to the flavour. BelgianBeerGal (1276), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 21, 2007 Updated: Oct 21, 200833cL bottle. Recommended by the bartender and it delivered. Great flavor with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of alcohol. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 19, 2007 on tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Good beer. sinkas (182), Perth/Fremantle, Australia Jul 15, 2007 Bottle, Perth, Australia
Amaging rish malty and spicy hop aromas, luxurious malt background with assertive hop bitterness and flavour. A bloody excellent beer. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jul 12, 2007 tiny white head into clear amber body. aromas of yeast, malts, and fruit (pumpkin?) overall pretty good. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA Jul 8, 2007 It took a while to be able to actually get to the beer due to the 3" thick slowly diminishing head that formed in my red wine glass. I enjoyed this out on my deck so I decided to take a walk about my yard while the beer settled. Rich orange-copper color and very bubbly. The aroma is of musty fruits and a mild earthiness, fairly calm. Very harsh on the palate, the 10.5% is felt all the way down. Considering the alcohol burn this beer is still lively with a good body to it. The taste of the alcohol fades to a yeasty fruitiness with thick malts and candied sugar. Lemon, oranges, and a peppery spiciness round out a decent flavor. The aroma and flavor seemed a bit bland for my expectation. Not the best example, still solid though.
