Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Mmmmm....well, I didn’t like this one that much. It has a weird rosty flavor that didn’t let me enjoy it. Maybe was a bad one? I will have to try it again.

Pours hazy light copper with lots of carbonation and a good sized cream colored head. Very fruity aroma - nectar and citrus combo. There is also some spice and Belgium yeastiness. Full body with lots of soft carbonation. There is an alcohol warmth, but it is not overpowering. The initial tste has a load of earthy yeast and light spice. The alcohol is definitely here, but it is creamy and tolerable. The finish has strong light fruits (white grape, peach and such) and some spicy hops. A nice beer.

33 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Cloudy pale amber colour with a little white head. Soft aroma of yeast, malt and some sweetness to. Also sweet malty flavour with notes of yeast and little alcohol at the end.

pretty decent. Hazy light orange with a large, long lasting thick head. Aroma is heavy spices, some apples, pears, tart citrus, and peppery. Taste is the same with a dry lightly tart finish. nice alcohol warm in the finish also.

10,5 % with the 9% label instead of the one shown in the picture?. Believe that should be corrected. Unclear golden with quick disappearing white head. Aroma of strong spices/yeast/fruit & alcohol. Taste of sweet malts. Warmth from alcohol. Filling smooth body with a medium live carbonation. Pleasant lasting finish. Ok from van steenberge.

Bottled. Had a flowery aroma. Strong herbal, citrus state. Spicy, astringent finish. Recommended.

Bottle. The aroma on this one had something I couldn’t quite put my finger on.. it’s herbal in a hoppy kind of way which (sadly) reminds me of glue. Quite sweet.
