COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Pours a clear amber with a lively head. Smells of doughy bread. Taste is sweet, with a hint of fruitiness and spices. Quite good

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden amber with nice white head. Aroma is yeasty and a little fruity. Tastes sweet with a hint of bitterness and alcohol in the finish. Pretty decent and interesting. Not what I’m used to drinking, but I like it.

Bottle sample at the Belgian IPA tasting at Ale Wine & Spirits on 8/25/11. Had this before and didn’t really think it was a Belgian IPA, but I’ll be objective. Clear gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of banana, candy and booze. Sweet candy flavor with a boozy banana finish. Not my thing.

Pale brown colour with thin, lumpy, lacy head. Quite a sweet, syrupy, malty aroma. A thick, sticky-sweet texture. Flavour has caramel and malts. Some yeast comes through too.
