Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Aromas of elderberries, cherries, grapes, tropical fruits, and wild flowers, along with hints of vanilla and caramel. Hazy deep orange-amber with rocky, white head foam that has great retention. Sweet with a bite of fruity tartness, spice, and hop bitterness, and perceptible strength without being boozy. Medium-full bodied, with a refreshing, frothy carbonation, and a drying, tart, spicy and fruity finish.

Alcohol covers all other aromas. Bread, herbs, alcohol. Amber, clear body, minimal, white head. Lightly sweet and sour with medium bitterness and some saltyness. Full bodied, oily. Lively carbonation with long finish.

Belgijska owocowość, przyprawy, biszkoptowa słodowość. Treściwe, przyjemna pełnia. Wysokie wysycenie. Alkohol obecny, rozgrzewający. Goryczka niska.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2016 Bottle. Pours clear golden with lazing white head. Aroma is sweet and has lightmalts with biscuit and caramel yet fruity with ripe apricot and caramel. Taste is light malty with biscuit and bread, yet fruity with winegum-like notes and has a semi-sweet balanced bitterness which makes it easy to drink.

Cloudy honey yellow. Tall off-white head. Very nice lacing. Sweetish candy in aroma. Lots of Belgian yeast. Fruity. Full bodied. Thick palate. The taste copies the aroma. Boozy but not alcoholic. Light bitterness. Very nice.

#1250. Bottle shared with koleminer20, for the book. Aroma is tropical fruit, yeast, bready, hops, caramel malt, good. Appearance is rust orange, clearish, off white to light tan head. Taste is tropical fruit, bread, yeast, bubblegum, caramel malt, dry. Mouthfeel is dry, medium body, light crisp carbonation, dry bready fruit aftertaste. Overall, not as good as some, but solidly middle of the pack.
