Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Pours a hazy golden with a sweet caramel candi-sugar aroma. Malty yeast profile covers the alcohol amazingly well. Good complexity and a full body made this a treat to drink.

Pours a cloudy orangish gold color with chunks of yeast suspended through the beer. The head is small, off-white colored, and does not linger long. It has a strong, nutty aroma of malts, spices, orange, and alcohol. Full body with low carbonation, the flavor is rich and chewy with malt, vanilla, orange and spice tones all intermingling on the palate. The finish is sweet and spicy with just a hint of alcohol. An excellent beer, it hides the alcohol well and is very complex with fruits, spices, and malts all battling it out in the flavor.

Very faint hazy honey-gold with large (quite bitter tasting) cream/white foamy head. Luscious lightly spiced floral/fruity nectar with added candy aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation and a big bitter and yeasty start, Malty sweet middle and bitter finish and aftertaste. Alcohol is very well masked and doesn’t hit till the second or third mouthful. very Nice!

Deep gold, slightly bitter after taste. Could be the batch. A nice experience, but lacks the presence of other Belgians and Belgian-style brews such as Unibroue's La Fin du Monde or Duvel.

Sharp, citrussy nose with some spice. Cloudy, poor colour, and weak head. Flavour, however, is great - rich with honey, cloves, peppery spice, grapefruit, and a whole bunch of other complex flavours mixing around together to produce a top drinking experience like any well formed BSA. Finishes very well in the mouth - less of the sharp carb that often brings the style down a bit. All in all, a winner.

Copper gold color, large head. Aggressively hoppy and spicy. Strong malt flavor, Added cane sugar evident. Complex taste. Interesting amalgam of flavors; sweetness, tartness, almond nuttyness. Mouthfeel is full and expansive, creamy. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, some alcohol bite at 10.5%. Interesting beer. A warming afterglow, taste smoothes with time.
