larsga (2319), Oslo, Norway Apr 25, 2008 Biggish coarseish offwhite head does not last. Hazy deep yellow body with light carbonation. Fruity aroma with delicate barnyard notes and some acid and light pepper. Dry acidic taste with peppery lemony barnyard notes. A bit watery and sharpish. Very thin-bodied. Clearly infected. A pity, because the aroma had promise. Should rerate. (0.5l bottle from KnutAlbert.)
Beerlando (1354), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle, just 2 months old. Pours a cloudy, medium orange-amber color. A spongy, cream colored head is well retained, leaving thick patches and random flares of lacing all the way down the glass. The aroma shows grapefruit and lemon zest hops over a toasty, bready, caramelized biscuit malt backdrop. The flavor shows sharp grapefruit hops and toasty malts, with out-of-place acetic, phenolic notes hinting at a mild infection. Medium bodied, the carbonation is downright aggressive and overly fizzy, perhaps another hint of infection. It is really too bad for the bad bottle that I got, as this beer seemed to have the most potential of all the Greek beers I have tried. Titanas (1), Athens, Greece does not count Jul 13, 2008 Tastes great but it definitely needs a bottle face lift. Thumbs up for lowish prices as well. KnutAlbert (2322), Oslo, Norway Apr 28, 2008 Bottle, thanks Nightfall!
Cloudy oragne, cotton candy head.
Flowery aroma, fine flowery hoppyness, a lot of citrus.
