COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An array of dark malts and a heaping dose of cocoa nibs* from French Broad Chocolate Lounge make this chocolate stout an instant classic. Aged on nibs for a number of weeks, this beer displays the gentle alchemy of chocolate and malted barley. *Broken pieces of the cocoa bean. FBCL’s chocolate maker hand-sorted, roasted, cracked, & winnowed beans from the La Red Guaconejo cooperative of the Dominican Republic.

On tap at the brewery (from notes). m: full body; medium carbonation.very smith; creamy. Rich stout with plenty of dark chocolate. Lingering flavor of.very dark malt and bitter chocolate.

Draft at the brewery. Brewvival Trip Beer 16. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, mild tartness. The taste is roasted malts, coffee and a cocoa finish. Medium bodied, refreshing.

Tap at the Thirsty Monk. Black, brown head. Actually smells more coffee-ish than chocolatey, but there is plenty of chocolate, too Taste is also more coffee forward, with lots of dark chocolate in the background. Dry-ish finish.

Tap at Beer study. Dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is roast, mocha, dark chocolate malts. Flavor shows more mocha, light bakers cocoa, coffee, roast. Solid.
