Light in body with beautiful bronze finish. This West Coast-style IPA is made with a blend of Nugget and Chinook hops, lending to a strong floral, piney, citrus character. Enjoy a mouthful of serious hop delight. Perfect for the hophead inside us all!

12 oz. can, consumed on 9-29-15. Labeled as “Pisgah GreyBeard IPA.” Pours a hazy, cloudy gold with a large amount of beige head. Creamy, uneven head. Suspended particulate in the liquid. Looks pretty to very good. Produces good, thick lacing. Apple juice, white grape juice, and apricot nectar scents. Pleasant, fruit-juicy, hoppy smell. Juicy flavor matches the aroma, but with hints of dankness as well as vanilla. Apple juice, white grape juice, pear, and green grape flavors. Juicy yet dry finish. Light to medium body, light for the style and ABV. Soft in the palate. Easy to drink. Quite pleasant and likable. An above average IPA. Not what I was expecting in its gentle juiciness, but I do like it indeed. A friendly beer.

12 oz. can pours out clear topaz with a thin film of bubbles. Nose is orange, caramel, honey, toast and resin. Taste is the same mix. Long finish has pine and wooden hop notes. Light-medium body has a nice balance and a pleasant low-medium carbonation.

On draft at the brewpub it is a clear golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is a strong bitter white grapefruit taste that resonates bitter on the tongue

Pours a cloudy orange hue with a fizzy, off white head. Orange, resiny pine and in distinct yeastiness on the nose. Orange, tangerine, hints of pines, wheatiness and a soft, pine finish. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Easy drinker but not the most interesting ipa.

A decent IPA. Golden with minimal head. Hop character isn’t overly assertive and this ends up being a pretty balanced beer between pineyness and its caramel malt background.

12 oz. can. Poured orange with minimal no head. Very slight lacing. Faint floral nose. Flavor is relatively weak citrus and pine. Disappointed.

Pint at The Ale House in Black Mountain, NC The IPA poured a cloudy light amber with a frothy head and lacing. The aroma of pine resin greets you. The flavor leans more to citrus from the various hops. The ale had a medium body with average carbonation. Gentle bitterness cleans up the swallow, resulting in a smooth finish that caps off the incredibly delicious sip.

12 oz can served in a pint glass. Pours medium golden with thick white lacy head. Aroma is light caramel malt and just a hint of hops. Taste is similar, slightly maltier with juicy floral citrusy hops, nice bitter grapefruit flavor. Decent IPA.
