750 bottle caged and corked. Pours and medium dirty brown color with fast leaving white head as it warms. To be honest, this is not a good looking brew, lots of suspended yeast floaties. Aroma of ripe fruit, malt, light brown sugar, and mango. The taste was the same with fizzy lively carbonation. Good sweetness in the finish. Decent light and easy drinking BW. Different but good. Glad I have more to lay down.

08 750ml corked and caged via TheBeerSommilier. After staring into my cellar like a zombie, I chose to open this, because I needed a big beer and I wanted a new rating and they came together in the form of hellbender. Drank from one of my reidel snifters. Pours rich orange with a creamy tan head. Nose is sweet and rich and smells pretty damn nice now with some hops in there too. Taste is hoppy, sweet and rich with a prickly mouth feel and a slight back end warming. I gotta say this hits the spot.

Pours dark caramel color with no head. Nose and flavor go as bit oxidized, but brown sugar and caramel also persist. Medium to full mouthfeel.

Metro Tasting. Poured a cloudy orange brown. Aroma is tangerine, dark fruits and sweet malt. Taste is caramel, orange, earthy dry hops, with a bitter finish. This was alright.

750ml bottle from April 2008. Id heard this one was wicked hot to start out, and Im glad I waited on it because this is a nice, mellow English-style barleywine. Murky amber pour with a medium creamy head. The nose is still rather sharp, with some hop bite and a touch of sweet heat. Toffee and a bit of molasses lead things off in the taste, which soon settles into a firmly malty BW with a nice mix between the brown sugar and the grit of the hops. Smooth and dangerously drinkable, I enjoyed this one.

22oz Bottle thanks to JohnGalt1. Pours out a copper topped with a sandy head. Aroma was nice and sweet. A good balance of caramel, citrus, and rich malts. Taste was more of the caramel sweetness, some pit fruit, brown sugar, and a little spice. A very well put together Barley Wine.

Bomber Ive had for like 2 years now. Pours a copper amber with one finger of creamy sandstone head. Rich dextrinous malt character, caramel bread and lots of spicy notes. Rich and malt forward flavor with a lasting hop bite. Medium bitterness and full bodied with a warming finish. Tasty but not panty dropping...
