Growler sample. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate floral hop and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Sampled from a growler. I liked this one. Very fruity and floral nose, with notes of grapefruit, a general fruit cocktail aroma which is kind of like pears, pineapple and marachino cherries. Itís also slightly grassy in the nose, almost like Amarillo hops, but itís also a little bit dank and I donít usually get that from Amarillo. Semi-dry taste, starchy as well, with some nicely bitter grassy hop flavors, crisp and snappy hops, with some sweet and resinous apple flavors in the finish. Well-made.

On tap at Barleys, Asheville NC, 6 July 2006. Orange colour. Rather murky and muddy appearance. Moderate hop presence throughout. Plenty of orangey citrus and a twist of pine. Hops do not dominate the malt backing too much. Smooth and clean mouthfeel. Nor a hop bomb but a pleasant, eminently drinkable IPA.

Smapled from a growler: Transparent copper orange pour has a thin froth of wispy white head. Aroma of orangy citrus hops and a touch of sweet caramel malt. Body starts slightly caramely malty sweet with a black peppery hoppy character and some citrusy flavor hops. Not sure if I like the black peppery hoppy flavor, but otherwise a pretty decent IPA.

11/27/13. On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Asheville. Amber orange pour with a small frothy khaki head. Mild aroma, grainy, husky malts with some caramel and biscuit aspects, very mild hops - touches of floral and citrus. Mild flavor as well, again malty with barely a touch of floral and citrus hops. Meh.
