7/12/11 pisgah nitro stout. Nice cascading black color with a spongy lite tan head. Mild aroma... Roast, lactose, lite ash, wood maybe licorice F is mild as well. Nice roasty at, some choco, toasty nuts, bs. i’ll look past the nitro texture... 6/4/6/3/14

Pours creamy from tip cause they’ve shoved some nitrogen up it’s butt which also accounts for it’s creamy head. Slight hints of roasted malt on the nose. Mouthfeel is not as creamy as I expected. Slight malt on the tongue. Meh.

Tap @ Pisgah. Jet black, heavy cream on top. Aroma of dark cocao. Tastes of burnt roasted barley. All roast, heavy cream Nitro foam. Wow,its outstanding.

This beer is black as night with an off white head. It has a medium malty nose. The palate is relevatively smooth palate with a coffee. Not super full bodied but a better cooler weather beer.

Draft @ Barley’s Taproom and Pizzeria, Asheville, NC. Pours a black color with a small creamy tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

This is an interesting brew. Not your normal big stout, the taste is creamy and mild. It pours very thick with an uncommonly creamy head and palate. I had it from draught and enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s just not what you;d expect from a stout.

Draft at the brewery. Pours jet black with a nitro head; thick and creamy. Mild malt aroma with a hint of coffee. Easy drinking.

On draft. Very smooth and creamy, which was nice. Probably light alcohol content. Mostly chocolate malts, not much roastiness or anything else. A little nutty. Lightly dry finish. Very drinkable.
