| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Sampled at the brewery. Hazy light red color. Lightly sweet fruity aroma. The flavor was really the surprise of the weekend. This thing was a perfect balance between a fruit beer and Belgian ale. Both influences were present and both complimented the other quite well. The balanced they achieved her with out being overly fruity or medicinal is outstanding. I had a couple of glasses of this nectar. I wish I could get this all the time. Amber with a smallish head.
Fruity nose, some cherry/berry.
The flavor reminds me of a washed out Lindemann’s Framboise.
A bit thin, needs a touch more of everything to bring this one all the way. cmillward (442), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Draft @ the brewery. Pours a copper/amber with a fizzy white ring of a head. On the nose, faint raspberries, cherries, a little honey sweetness. This very attenuated for a fruit beer, not much sweetness at all in the flavor. The cherry is predominant fruit in the flavor, some malt and some alcohol comes through as it warms, faint raspberry notes. A medium mouthfeel with low carbonation. Fairly bland for such a big beer. jcwattsrugger (5583), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2009 There were several beers I tasted at PilsnerPeter’s gathering that were my first samples from that brewer, this being one of those. Growler. Pours a mostly clear reddish gold with just a bit of a pinkish tint. Pleasant aroma of malt and orange. This beer fallls apart in the flavor department, which features weak malt and Hawaiian Punch. Dries out towards the finish with light-medium bitterness. I hope my next beer from Pisgah is better than this one!
