bubbleflubber (1832) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 22, 2014
From the brewery, this pours a deep amber into the glass with a foamy white head that leaves thick soapy lacing. Light citrus and pale malts to the nose. For those intimate with the brewery’s Pale Ale, this is a sweeter version of it. Pale malts, fruit juice, toast, cracker, and finishes with a dry hopping that provides a crisp mouthfeel and fruity essence. Drinkable, substantive and makes for a great session brew. Complex and quite enjoyable.

phaleslu (6554) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Draft taster at the brewery. Pours a copper color with an off-white head that leaves a sheet of lace. Big citrus notes in this one - orange and grapefruit - especially in the aroma. Also caramel, tea, and amber malts. Light-medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a leafy, malty mouthfeel. Very nice Irish red ale.

On tap at Pisgah during RBWG. Clear red orange color. Good khaki head. Thicker lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Good tropical fruity hop, some light caramel sweet malt. Lightly spicy. Moderate sweet taste, mild bitter taste. Light alcohol heat. Decent red IPA.

On tap at the brewery for RBWG 2014. Reddish orange, with a big fluffly white head. Smells like caramel and toffee and a touch of pine. Taste is pine and hairspray (in a good way), with smooth malty caramel in the finish.
