Pours a clear golden copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus piney hops, sweet pale malts and some floral notes. Taste is citrus hops, sweet pale malts and a big hop bitterness. Bitterness is very astringent and harsh. Decent ipa but the bitterness kills this one. Weakens a bit as it warms but I’m not a fan.

Pours a very cloudy orange with a lot of sediment and suspended solids with A small creamy white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet citrus, grass, pine, and some malty sweetness. Flavour is a mild resin, medium bitterness that lingers, and a medium sweetness.

660 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a huge pillowy beige head. Aromas are hay, citrus, and pine. Taste is citrus dominant with a hint of pine and some biscuity malt. Super smooth, nice round mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation, and a gentle bitter finish. Great IPA.

(Rating #4745)

Bomber from Phil. I had the other Pit Caribou IPA and I thought this was going to be the same one..I was very wrong. Orange pour with a foamy sticky head that laces all the way. Aroma is fresh citrus and some pine. Finally a Quebec ipa with a nice malt body balance. Some nice resinous hops, citrusy and sticky. Excellent

In short: A typical west-coast IPA made in Quebec. Mission accomplished.
How: Bottle 660ml, consumed fresh a few days after purchase.
The look: Slightly cloudy golden body topped by a medium off-white head with good retention.
In long: Nose is seriously hoppy, citrusy, resinous, floral. Taste is very richly caramelized creamy bready malts, a bite in a pastry, a whole lot of juicy citrusy hops (oranges & grapefruits mainly), some green pine needles, plenty of hops resin. Bitterness level in the medium-high range. The beer remains somewhat refreshing despite being richly caramelized and rather resinous. Full body with a lively carbonation. One of the rare true American style hop-fix available in bottles to drink home in the brewpub-land that is the province of Quebec. Nothing original here, I’ve had beers like this south of the border many many times, but rarely north of the border. With good west-coast IPAs like this one bottled in Quebec it is becoming hard to know whether you are in Quebec or in California, if you see snow falling you are in Quebec, if you feel an earthquake you are in California, if you get both you are in a snow globe.

22oz bottle pours a slightly hazy orange with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose of dried citrus peel, grapefruit, lime, light pine, grass, a little cardboard, honey. Flavor is sweet and bitter, grapefruit, lemon, lemongrass, stale malt, crackers with honey, straw. Full, sticky, bitter finish. Decent enough, but I am not sure if I got the freshest bottle.
