4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy golden with a small creamy head, pretty sure it is from all the hop oils. Smell is heavenly with piney/floral/herbal hops dominating. Taste is medium bitterness with malt taking a supportive role only. Hop bitterness lingers for a long while after each sip, in fact I believe it is just continuous right now. Pretty much the best IPA from Quebec I had this year and close to best overall IPA too... Not Pliny good, but goddamn close!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
660 ml bottle from St. Nicholas Metro. Pours a cloudy orange colour with lots of tiny floaties and moderate-sized cream-coloured head. Aroma is resiny and citrusy hops as well as a big caramel maltiness. Flavour is big pine resin, solid citrus, good caramel malt backbone and a little graininess. Plus body. Nice.

Pours deep amber with medium tan head. No is citrusy hops. Aromas are resinous pine, citrus and some toasty notes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Long bitter and citrusy finish. Complex and aromatic IPA, love this one!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
sample at Festbiere du Quebec, Quebec City, orangish pour, fuller bodied. citrusy & piney hops, solid bitterness, substantial malty backbone but it still let hops shine. Nice IPA

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This stuff is the bee’s knees.
Pours orange with a nice foamy cap I’m gonna call ecru. Nose is pine, citrus, tropical fruit, caramel. Taste is bread, caramel, sweet tropical fruit, a bit of spice with a pine/grapefruit finish. The mouthfeel on this beer is so deliciously chewy - a sweet, heavy caramel malt that’s hopped to all hell with a variety of hops. It’s so close to being an IIPA, but whatever you call it this is about as good as it gets.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured a definitely ununfiltered cloudy orange with a massive billowing white head. Condiderable lacing being left in its wake. Aromas are of strong citrus, and orange peel. Tastes of bitter orange and a caramel malt backbone.Overall I’d chalk this one up as yet another quality brew from Pit Caribou, which is quickly becoming one of my favourite Quebec breweries.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This IPA poured a cloudy orange colour with a nice, big, frothy white head. Scents include pineapple orange citrus and a little spice. First sip was ripping with citrus hops. Orange, pineapple most pro dominant. Finish is very bitter with orange citrus lingering.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the best American-style IPAs I’ve had, a liberally hopped West Coast style IPA that has notes of pine, alfalfa and a hint of caramel. A very gritty IPA seeing that it’s unfiltered, you see a lot of sediment, which gives it an extra bite. It’s a bit heavier on my stomach than most IPAs out there, but this is proof that a microbrasserie from the Gaspé region can produce IPAs comparable to the West Coast. Hop forward, very bitter yet delicious.
This and Le Castor’s Yakima IPA are easily on my top 5 Eastern Canadian IPA list.

Bière très oublonnee, arôme intense de fruit de la passion. Sucrée à prime abord, puis entre la forter amertume (77 ibu) un délice, quelle odeur!

[Bottle (660ml)] Pours a hazy golden-orange with a small lasting fizzy/frothy tan head. Aroma is nice and fruity along with a good amount of hops, a hint of spices and a touch of yeast. Lovely flavour, so fruity and hoppy -- there’s some alcohol there but it’s reasonably well hidden. Nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. I loved it.
