COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Numérotées de 1 à 50, les Gaspésiennes ont sillonné le Saint-Laurent aux temps de la pêche à la morue. La Gaspésienne no 13 n’a jamais vu le jour. Nos intrépides brasseurs ont bravé le sort en dévoilant le côté sombre de cette Porter robuste, brassée avec de l’orge gaspésien.

Le Porter est issu des vieilles méthodes anglaises de malter l’orge. Jadis très populaire, le style est presque disparu pour refaire sont apparition avec l’avènement des bières artisanales. Pit Caribou vous l’offre dans une douce rondeur de chocolat, de café et un réconfortant degré d’alcool.

Bottle courtesy of sic1314. Poured a dark mahogany with a round light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, sweet creamy caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a light malt medicinal hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Vices et Versa. Dark brown with a tannish head. Semi-roasted malt, some coffee, bitter chocolate, slightly earthy. Moderate carbonation and mild body, enjoyable and slightly bitter.

Dégustée en fût au Pub Brouhaha à Montréal le 26 octobre 2013. Bière noire opaque. Col très épais beige crème, crémeux et très persistant. Odeur de café crème. Très douce, très sucrée, peu amère. Saveur de chocolat noir sucré bien présente. Donne l’impression de boire des "chocolate chips". Saveur plus crémeuse qu’un porter traditionnel. Se boit très bien. Typée chocolat plus que café.

Bottle 500ml. Pours black with low-medium light brown head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, bitterness, slight ashes. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Soft to medium carbonation. Overall: Pretty good. Loads of roasted malt and chocolate, while still somewhat "drinkable". Alcohol under control.

500ml bottle. Dark brown with a frothy tan head. Flavors are coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, ashes, toasted bread and caramel with subtle herbal and smoky notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth texture. Sweet and roasty finish.
