500ml bottle. Jet black pour, half-finger tan head reducing to a thin peripheral ring. Rich caramel malt and dark chocolate nose, a bit of coffee notes; malty and roasty with lasting bitter finish. Viscous. Very tasty porter.

Pours dark brown with a mocha head that fades quickly leaving a thin lace. Nice milk chocolate aromas, cocoa nibs and nild coffee. Medium body, low carbonation, toasty, biscuity with just a bit of cocoa bitterness. A bit thin in mid-palate. Easy drinking porter, not so robust...

Completely opaque black color. Super thick brown 2 finger head that sparkles in the light, lasting 5 minutes and with powerful legs. Strong aromas and taste of sweet chocolate and sour roasted coffee. Well balanced flavors with some hints of fruits, nuts, and herbal spices. Creamy full body with some excessive prickly carbonation. Not too bitter nor sweet, good intensified finish, slightly chalky, ending with a smoky toffee like mouth coating. Overall : Nicely balanced with some nice freshness, warming and fully flavored. Good craft and a joy to drink!

Draught at Saint-Bock. Roasted malt with a chocolate edge, smokey notes, touch of vanilla and licorice, round mouthfeel with a smooth finish. Fairly tasty stuff, classic but solid porter.

Bottle (500 ml) at home. Dark brown with a medium tan head, medium retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is milky with chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla and a bit of anise. Taste is moderately sweet with milk chocolate, roasted malt, hints of green peppers, vanilla and mild bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. Roasty finish. Good chocolatey Porter. Round and flavorful.

So dark brown it is black. Very thin head that disappears quickly. Aromas are lighter than expected, but consist of rum and raisin notes, dark chocolate and roasty malts. Similar tastes, but with the addition of red fruits. Some subtle suggestions of rauchbier. Quite tasty.
