Bottle at the RBSG Lobby Share. Pours a hazy orange with no head. The aroma is candy sugar, booze, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, very good.

Sampled at rbsg. cloudy orange brown and hazy. Soapy white head. Complex dark fruit. Yeasty. Big over ripe fruit. Melons. Really quite smooth. Orange and zest. Very nice.

This reminds me a lot of Stone’s Old Guardian. I healthy hopped barley wine. Pours light caramel with a small white ring. Aroma is sweet caramel, hot alcohol and nice earthy hops. Taste is sweet, alcohol burn and pine hops. Slight oak and dried palate. Really tasty.

Beautiful simple white bottle with orange waxed top. Pours a hazy amber colour with golden highlights. Creamy warm beige head with great retention and foamy lacing. Aromas of fruity malts, smoked wood, butterscotch, hop and mild nutty notes. The smokiness starts the taste, going through some nice bitterness from the hops and then balancing both in the finish. Some grass lingers, some burnt wood shows hints. This is really quite a nice surprise that is worth getting before it is gone. A smooth smoky Barleywine.

Probably one of the greatest looking bottles I’ve seen. Clear, dark copper colour. Smokey taste is interesting, and pretty good actually, but I really prefer my barley wine without it. Extra points for trying something original.
