Bottle. Balck beer with a weakly roasted aroma and a mildly roasted and malty flavour. Overall a pretty flat imperial stout.

This was ok but a little to sweet and acidity for me.I like my IPS more thick and smoother and this just did not have it,poured with almost no head and was very malty with hints of coffee.CHEERS!

Bottle thanks to ang at home. Aroma is roasted burnt malts with alc and sugary sweetness noteable, grassy hop character. Taste is a sore one, burnt bitter and hard to drink.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Casper’s Christmas Cracker.
Lovely black and tan looks. Sweet alcohol aroma with vanilla, liquorice and sweet malt. Burnt malt flavour, alcohol is not as fierce as expected. Some rubbery stouty stuff and plenty of chocolate and mocha. Really pleasing vanilla alcohol finish. Easily my favourite Pitfield to date.

Bottle with Mes & tashi. Fantastic aroma of roast mocha, chocolate, cough sweets and spices. Very dark brown appearance. Flavour similar to nose. Lovely smooth finish. Great stuff!

Bottle at home with Scott (brother) on a night of Imperial Stout tasting Poured black with tan head, aroma is freshly ground coffee, cocoa and a little dash of soy sauce. Taste was frankly just a little disappointing, it was easily fourth in a four horse race but there was the coffee and chocolate that was present in the aroma along with some dark fruits.

Light malt,and cold coffee aroma, no head at all, an almost scary appearance,with little carbonation to speak of, taste was dark raasted malt,some slight sour/bitterness,alcohol, and hints of Christmas Cookie anise,bitter in finish
