chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Feb 16, 2008 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Dark red-brown colour. Fairly smooth with some juicy, sour fruit malt notes. Also a touch of wood. Fairly solid but didn’t really grab me. Not convinced that it was in tip top condition. I guess this is an Old Ale but I couldn’t be sure that was the intention.

Gravicask at St. Albans Beer Festival. Murky mid brown with no head. Aroma of unbrewed malt, yeast and green green hops. Very appley too. Odd minty note in the flavour that is plain awful to be honest. Hoppy again, clear alcohol. Tastes almost unfinished to me. Malty finish that turns hoppy and slightly acrid. Not great.
