Bottled. Cloudy yellow. Strong aroma of banana and cloves. Soft and fairly sweet, nicely malty. A thirst quenching and very authentic hefeweizen.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2004 Very easy drinking wheat beer. Banana, clove, yeast, etc. Excuse the notes but they’re barely readable. Cask rerate: Big clove/banana/bubblegum aroma. Cloudy yellow/white. Sweet bana with massive spice. Smooth medium-full body. Top stuff.

33cl bottle from City Beverage Company, Hoxton. Cloudy old gold/orange colour with thin cream coloured head. Citric, spritzey wheat beer. Yeasty orangey aroma. Bit like jellied fruits. Some cereal in mouth and some lemon. I found it emminently drinkable.

Bottle. Cloudy orange golden, small offwhite head. Aroma cries out coriander, but I find quite complex apples and sour orange notes as well. Good fruity flavours, mainly banana and orange, with coriander providing a semi-dry finish. Refreshing and well-balanced.

As we consumed this on the train home from St Albans beer festival, you’ll have to excuse me if my notes are not too extensive. Hazy bronze colour, with noticeable spicing (coriander) and a quite sharp citric edge. Other comments compare this to a German, but I thought it more like a Belgian wit. Perhaps the brewery varies the style? Whatever it is, it went down rather nicely. Bottled.

Bottled. Foggy pale golden colour with a generous white head. Banana and bubble gum aroma. Good flavour and depth. Really a damn nice wheat when its all said and done. Feels a lot stronger then 5% ABV though.

Bottle at the Wenlock Arms. Also here were Duff, Kook, Chris_o, Sully & Sully’s son. Juicy/fruity wheat beer. Slight smokeyness.

Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Hazy golden colour. Wheaty aroma, hints of malt vinegar and oak. Wheaty flavour, decent hops.

Cloudy gold beer - low carbonation but still crisp. Refreshing! Fruity orange with a splash of lemon. Not complex but hits the right spot.

Bottle. Pretty authentic, clove and banana flavours, typical of a German wheat, soft yeasty character, this was the last beer of a long night.
