A copper coloured beer with a decent enough nose balancing hop and malt. The taste is also balanced hop and malt. Although it hits the buttons for an English bitter it’s all a bit dull and biere ordinaire. MesandSim (5850), London, Greater London, England

50cl bottle at Chris O’s extravaganza. Copper colour with a very thin white head. Smell is slightly alcoholic which is probably not a greeat thing considering it’s a 3.7 percenter. Buttery and malty flavour with a dryish hoppy finish. Pretty boring. thebeertourist (2793), Oslo, Norway

Interesting earthy aroma. Toffee flavours with solid floral hop btterness. Earthy. Light bodied. A bitter above the average. harrisoni (6798), Ashford, Kent, England

Amber, lasting bubbly beige head. Competent session bitter. Some hop, yeast, caramel aroma. Great hop kicks in mouth, with bitterness on end, citrus earthy hop. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 25, 2005 Old gold to orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is faint, mainly malt. Taste is again rather insipid: there’s a hint of toasty malt and some bitterness, but the overall effect is watery. Not a bad session beer, I suppose. RichardGretton (3145), Leicestershire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2005 Bottle. Glazed, syrupy, frosty looking orange/amber beer with a fizzy head. The aroma is lightly fruity and the flavour is watery and slightly dry. Overall a disappointing beer. leaparsons (4725), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are sweet toffee and caramel with spicy hops and some yeast. Flavours are sweet caramel malts followed earthy, dry hops. Has some burnt notes with some fruitiness. Bitter on the finish. Pretty tasty for its alcohol level. SilkTork (4173), Rochester, Kent, England
