Cask; Special.
A medium pale barley wine, smooth and sweet initially leading to a comforting fruity warmness and a lasting inner glow.

Hand bottle from cask (thanks Simon & Jackie) on 23 November 2010. Amber colour. Very sweet. Lots of estery fruit. Strong hops on the palate. Good orangey character but too sweet for my taste.

From Jackie hand bottled from Wantage beer festival. Good pear drop aroma. More toned down than the hop I had before. God hoppy aggressive beer

Hand bottle shared at CPK. Clear gold pour. Honey malt and some citrus hops in the nose. Very, very sweet. More honey and caramel, pine, resin, light citrus bitterness. Medium in body, semi-syrupy, lightly carbonated. Good and bitter finish with lingering sugar, resin. A bit worty, which I love.

Cask, gravity, Wantage Beer Festival 19.11.10 Pours dark amber this is really thick in the mouth, good clarity. Touch floral at times, but plenty of sweetness, honey, syrup, good hoppy bite very full flavoured, nice warmth, my only criticism is that the sweetness dominates a touch. However this is a very tasty big beer, very much in the Pitstop mould. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
