Backlog from Austria. Pours clear gold. The thin white head bubbles and soon fades away. Aroma is skunk and more skunk. Reminded me of roadkill days in Texas where you had to open the windows and gasp for air. Not exactly an auspicious start. Taste is sweet with a syrupy feel. A light graininess and light metallic notes enliven things. And that is it really. At least it doesn’t taste as bad as it smells. I guess it could have been an off bottle, but my strong inclination is not to give this one another chance.

Can, 0.5l. ABV of 5%. Clear golden pour with soapy white head and visible carbonation. Smell is a bit unpleasant, wet cardboard, hay, grains. Thin and watery, heavily carbonated. Usual bittersweet taste. Aroma of malts, corn, hay and grains. Metallic mouthfeel and aftertaste. Overall, drinkable when served ice cold on a hot summer day. Otherwise a poor and bland effort.

Aroma is buttery and herbs and noble hops. Taste is malty bread, herbs and noble hops. Taste is malty bread sweetness, and some citrussy sournessn, medium tartness. Medium finish. Ok.

Can. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy. Taste is grainy again. Quite light. Not really a Märzen. Meh.

Canned, 500 ml from supermarket in Zagreb. Pours golden with medium white head. Malty, grainy, bit sweetish. Light bodied. Was quite cold so turned out better than expected.

0.33cl bottle from Spar supermarket in Vienna. It’s a German style "Marzen’" so don’t expect a dark toasty lager. Instead you get your average sweet pale golden Euro lager with a low hop presence and bland sweet flavours.

Pale golden color, weak white head. Weak aroma of grains. Taste is grainy and slightly bitter. Just a standard lager, thankfully without corn. Drinkable.

Clear golden coloured body with a faint pure white head that fades very fast, not even half a centimetre tall. Aroma of malt, sugar and cardboard - not too nice. Light-bodied; Strong sugar flavour along with some light cardboardie malt, hints of spice and a lot of water - not much flavour in this one at all. Aftertaste shows some grain and alcohol along with the cardboard and bland malt - that’s about it. Overall, not such a great beer - but that was pretty much understood when buying it. There really is no reason to buy this, but it wasn’t the worst beer and it was incredibly cheap here in Austria. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Spar [Gourmet] in the centre of Wien, Austria a few hours ago on 22-March-2016 for €0,49 sampled in my apartment hotel in Wien, Austria on 22-March-2016 - At current exchanges, it is US$0,55 for this 50 cL can - I couldn’t get any junky beer, like Bud/Miller in a case for that cheap, let alone a single can - this is ridiculously cheap and frankly, not THAT bad.
