Bottle. Dark amber color with creamy eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, molasses. Taste is the same, quite straightforward. Full-bodied, medium carbonation. Not bad!

This is the best beer in Medvedgrad. Not only it is most rich with alcohol, it has the best taste and I would say one of the best beers in Croatia. It is also very cheap, like all beers in Medvedgrad pub.

Draught @ Pivnica Medvedgrad, Zagreb. Pours hazy copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with some estery hints. Sweetish flavour of the same, with mild, bitter notes of hops. Estery and slightly caramellish afteraste. No carbonation. Well, not very impressive.

33cl bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a clear reddish brown with a two finger light tan head. Aromas of sugar candy, caramel, malts. Taste: caramel, vanilla, malty sweetness, candy sugar, nuts, spices. Light body, biy watery with a short sweet malty finish. Low on the bitters. Medium carbonation. Nice and malty but could use a bit more body.

Copper, nice head. Aroma toasted malt, hazelnuts, herbal notes. Palate medium, low carbonation. Taste sweetish caramel, blends with nice herbal notes. Actually a nice one.

Enjoyed: poured from a bottle into a mug. Rich but short-living foam. Blury red, brownish colour (unfiltered). Pleasant taste, easy, drinkable, low carbonation. Though it has a lot of alcohol, it’s hard to taste it or smell it. In the beginning it’s very aromatic/fragrant, but later intensity is lost. Nice labels, both old and new.
