On tap at Pivnica Mali Medo, Zagreb. Slightly hazy ruby with a dense and lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dried fruits and spices with some hoppy notes and a hint of alcohol. Very well balanced. Sweet and quite flavourful with a pleasant bitterness. Nice one! (2013-05-17)

0,5l bottle. Amber color. Aroma is malt and a bit of fruits. Taste is fruits, caramel, raisins and hops. It’s very tasty, a little bit sweet with a hint of alcohol. I recommend this beer.

Bottle, 0.5 l, 7.5% abv, gift from Medvedgrad Brewpub. Thanks! Pours nice orange-yellow color with average, frothy, off-white head. Hints of acid in the smell, like sauerkraut, maybe some corn. Well balanced hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness with some pine in the aroma. Medium body, average carbonation, malty finish. Sincerely recommended.

Draught at Pivnica Medvedgrad. Too well attenuated, hence too evidently alcoholic for my taste. But since i’m not a fan of the style, it still surprised me. A bit more body than you would expect from the attenuation, caramelly aroma enriched with notes of apples and hops. Light sweet, light bitter. If not for the alcoholic finish, this one would be actually really good.

Amber with a fair creamy head. Nose is malty and hoppy. Hints of fruity and cinnamon aroma. Rather sweet taste, medium body, enough carbon. Caramel, coffee on palate. Bitter and sweet finish. On tap at Mali Medvjed.

I’ve tried this in Medvedgrad pivnica iz Zagreb, ofcourse. Soft redddish colour. Pretty strong beer but drinkable beer. light sweetness, light body and strong brown head. Maybe best Medvedgrad beer out there.

Draft at the Božidara Adžije location. Ruby hazed orange. Foamy head. Eggy strong nose, not very appealing. Smoky malt body, bit syrupy even for this weight. very strong malt extract feel. bit disappointed, my least favorite from this brewery.

1 l fliptop bottle as a gift.
Poured deep amber-brown-mahagony with a pillowy-foamy white head. Moderated aroma with some toasted caramel, yeasts, some grassy hops. Medium body, sweet toasted taste, caramell and raisins, medium carbonation. Overall, you cannot find the alcohol in the taste, easy drinkable but not a very axciting one. I could slip it for hours but i don’t want to search it to buy.

Dark amber color. Rich, full bodied, wood, cherries, earthy. Not so sweet. Dry finish. Not overly complex, but not a bad bock.

31/08/2010 - 30cl from tap @ Medvedgrad Adzijina

Clear amber to red beer, very creamy light beige head. Aroma is dairy products, cream, yeast and sweet malts. MF is round with a full body and pleasant texture. Taste is some alcohol sweetness first, followed by caramel and malts. Aftertaste has malts with caramel, little sweet.
