3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, white head, with some lacing, over a slightly hazy, very light amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is light smoke, wheat, light lactic tones.....taste is light sour, smoke, wheat, citrus hints (lemon) ending with a slightly bitter sourness.....mouth feel light, carbonation low. This is much lighter in both aroma and flavors than anticipated. Both the smoke and sour qualities are present but were used with a light hand. The result is a light but moderately complex beer that has wisps of both Rauchbier and Berliner Weisse. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy chestnut body with a beige head. Nose of tart wheat and mild beechwood; hint of smoke. Not really a sour beer, but I get why they reference that. Think of a mild smoke beer with a bit of Berliner Weisse poured into it. Thin palate.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle shared by beastiefan2k. The pour is lightly hazed gold yellow, with a small white head. The aroma is soft wheat, a touch of citrus lemon, decent amount of herbal, and grass and straw in the back. The wheat and the herbal blend together giving it an almost medicinal nose. The taste is the soft wheat, along with the herbal medicinal flavors, lightly lemon citrus, and maybe a little bit of earth in the back. I really do not perceive any smoke here, though the earthiness is a dirty earth. The palate is medium bodied, soft low carbonation. This is a weird beer, interesting though. Thanks for sharing Eugene.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle. Pours hazy-orange with a long lasting, tall, white head and lively carbonation. Nose is of barnyard yeast, wheat malt hints of noble hops and smoke. Body is medium and tangy. Taste is sour, yeasty, wheat malt, smoked wood and hints of hops. Finish is long and sour. Interesting, refreshing thirst quencher.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: muddy orange brown, short, thick light tan head, decent lacing. Aroma: remarkably fruity, with notes of apples, oranges, and a hint of bananas and passion fruit; smoky tinge comes through as it warms. Taste: light notes of fruit, semi-sweet apple juice, and bread, with a wisp of smoke underneath. Finish: smooth and clean, with a slight twang and a bit of lingering sweet and sour fruit. Notes: Not nearly as sour or smoky as I anticipated. I expected something like the Schlenkerla smoked wheat, which I hated. In this one, the sourness is very subdued, as is the smoke. It seemed like a light, slightly-more-fruity-than-usual hefeweizen which used maybe 10% smoked wheat malt. Easy-drinking palate.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Much lighter smoke flavor than other smoke beers I have tried. The sourness of the ale blends well with the light smoked notes, with neither overpowering the other.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle from Discount. Pours a pale orange wirh a foamy white head. Aroma has straw, fruit, wheat and smoke. Taste is of lightish sweet bread, tangy fruit, some citrus and smoke. Interesting taste. Gets progressively more sour and earthy through the glass. Finishes light and sweet. I had no clue what to expect but this was pretty good and an easy drinker.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose is faint wheat and a faint light sour. Pleasant, but not much do it and perhaps a trace of smoke although if I wasn't told the style I may not have even caught it.
Pours a dark hazy orange with light film and bits of lace. Appearance is more like a iambic than a wheat beer. I know it adheres to purity law - assume this is what all looked like?
Taste is light smoke and nice tart wheat. This is a really tasty beer, but the flavor comes and goes. I will say a lot of smoke beers almost linger too long. This leaves ya with a tiny bit of smoke...
Can't believe I let this sit in fridge since the summer months. This would be freaking awesome with a non-greasy grilled dish. Grilled Gouda burger during the summer? Call me the match maker

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour is a hazy orange with almost no head at all. Aroma is hard to detect. Some hefe banana and estery yeast but that is faint and there is not much else. Flavor is more pronounced. Some sour notes to start then comes a almost juniper berry. A ever so slight smoke note hits the tounge after the swallow. It’s different I’ll give it that.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle... Cloudy caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose furnishes wheat, light smoke and a trace of lemon. Medium-bodied with laid-back carbonation. The flavor is perfectly balanced, presenting moderate citric acidity, undemanding bitterness and gentle malted-wheat sweetness with only a rumor of smoke. Short, crisp, clean finish.
