Cask @ CPK. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny mocha head. The nose is plenty of roasted espresso bean, some whipped cream and sweet sugar. The taste is more roasted coffee bean, charred malts, plenty of tangy berry and some bitter dark chocolate. Light dried nut. The finish is dry and a bit dusty. Smooth, easy to drink. Good stuff!

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 19/10/12. Very dark mahogony brown approaching black in colour with a thin tan head that soon clears to the edge. Roast malt nose and strange plastic/chemical tones. Taste follows the nose, roast malt and this strange mix of plastic, herbs and light medicinal qualities. Medium bodied with little carbonation leading to a slightly astringent finish. Left half of my half pint - sums it up pretty much!
