3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap sampler at Alís of Hampden during vacation from June 19, 2012. I couldnít find Pizza Boy on the site at the time, so thanks to jsmerig to start the beer ratings. Hazy, amber color with a decent head. Some hop aroma, but mostly malts. Taste was a mix of malt followed by hop, so lets call it sweet caramel. Nice lip smack and bitterness on the finish.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draft listed as Ballet IPA Double Red IPA drank on my way to Campground Brewdown. Poured a clear rusty orange with an ugly piss bubble foamy head. Aroma was odd, notes of cinnamon roll, anise and a hint of mint. The flavor was dreadful, urinal cake + cinnamon roll + anise. I couldnít even finish a 5oz sample glass that I was spliting with someone else. Not sure what the other raters drank but man was this bad.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2013 Served on-tap at Alís of Hampden. This is just the regular version.
A - Pours amber brown with a nice one finger tall white head leaving small trails of lace down the glass.
S - Smells of bright citric hops, strong caramel malt, toffee, some dulled tropical fruit and, by the end of the glass, a decent amount of booze.
T - This one definitely has plenty of hops and sweet caramel to go around. There is a very light fruitiness from the hops as well but it gets drowned out quickly by the booze. Finish is best described as sweet heat, lingering on the palate for quite awhile.
M - Big doy with plenty of carbonation. Sweet, hoppy feel combines with the booze to make this one a bear to finish.
O - Not saying this is a bad beer but if this is Arch Angle without the fruit then I would just prefer it with the fruit. It seems like a waste when it could just be that good all the time.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Alís of Hampden. Pours a clear amber brown with a notable thick tan head. †Taste is malty and sweet with mixtures of mellow cutrus. Followed by a spicy bitterness. The bitterness lingers a bit but overall one if the more refined beers of the sampler
