translucent gold-green, puffy large bubbled white head. Light cracker and salt minerality in nose, some off vanilla-C from grain absence. High pepper-ester effervescence, snappy in response, clean grain and light grassy hop end, soft doughy aspects. 636313

From notes. Enjoyed this one at the Brew Crew Bash in Ann Arbor on May 21. This one was poured from a 32 oz crowler. The pour is a darker bright yellow color with a decent fluffy white head that falls down to a film leaving quite the lace behind. I am not too big on pilsners, but this one is pretty damn good. There is a bright citrus right up front. It’s heavy and potent. After that, it does fall off quite a bit, like you’d expect from a pilsner. There is a lot of straw and a metallic lager malt. It falls to a little disappointing bit, but the beginning is amazing for a pilsner. The flavors are much of the same. It’s much more pilsnerish. There is a bit of straw and a crisp light malt to go with a continually light, but present, citrus juiciness. The mouthfeel is light and crisp, with a bright carbonation that is almost a little too overdone. The aftertaste is sweet metallic malt and a little hoppiness. Pretty damn good pilsner, for sure!

Draft at Al’s / Pizza Boy in Enola. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a light note of lime. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Doesn’t look or smell like much, and the flavor balance is definitely on the sweet side (more like a blonde ale than a pils), but it’s clean and mindlessly drinkable.

Fantastic. Opens like a pale ale bursting with citrus but finishes the sazz hop dryness.

Pours very light clear almost whitish yellow in color with a small white ring for a head. Aroma and flavor bring subtle citrus like notes really soft on the palate. The body is not very crispy and the Citra hops are very subtle.

[6594-20140815] Bottle. Light straw lemon aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Light straw lemon flavour. Medium body. Tasty, easy to drink. (7/4/8/4/15) 3.8

Pours a clear pale yellow/gold with a medium white head. Aroma has grass, a touch of straw, and a hint of citrus. Flavor follows suit...Light rind and hoppy spice...crisp. Mouthfeel is light and lively with a dry rindy/grassy finish. Good hoppy pilsner.

Draft at Monk’s. Pours clear gold with white head, head does not linger long. Aroma is grassy, earth, old hay. Carries right through to the flavor along with some bittering from the Citra hops. Not my favorite usage of these particular hops.

2014-08-15. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma of grassy floral hops and light citrus. Flavour is pleasantly bitter, similar grass and citrus hops. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Enjoyable. Growler at Campground Brewdown
