UPDATED: JUN 26, 2013 Served on-tap at Alís of Hampden. I am adding this one as an IPA because the base beer is an IPA and that flavor profile seems to be the most dominate.
A - Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a small half finger tall white head leaving spotty trails of lace down parts of the glass. Looks similar to the regular Hazleton IPA but a little cloudier.
S - Smells of pungent citric hops, dash of fruity saison yeast, some black pepper spice, some caramel malt sweetness and some fresh sliced tropical fruit. Still quite hoppy but with some fruity / spicy saison backing. Very interesting nose.
T - Starts off with a nice mix of slick citric hop bitterness, black pepper spice and some fruity saison yeast that never really fades away. Some caramel / toffee sweetness and light tropical fruitiness help round things out. Finish is a mix of hopiness, light spice and caramel sweetness, leaving the palate dried out long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slick, hoppy/spicy feel from start to finish. A bit of sweetness creeps in toward the end of each sip, helping to keep the palate from getting fatigued too quickly.
O - A very nice hybrid IPA. It has both sets of flavors you would expect and they are well integrated together. I would say it is a touch more IPA than saison but it doesnít really matter. Definitely worth a shot if you are into these kinds of beers.

This was a fun beer because of itís uniqueness and it did taste good too. IPA mostly, but with a nice saison feel to it due to the yeast strain used. Good stuff.

Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Soft citrus, light caramel. Citrus and pineapple. Sweet and fruity, soft wheat and grain. Musk, candied mango. Sweet caramel with a gentle bitterness into the finish.

Pours clear straw golden with a white head and small lacing. Aroma brings spring honey and citrus lemon field notes. Flavor brings similar light saison grassy notes, blended with lemony hop flavors sitting gently on the tongue.

On tap at Alís of Hampden. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy hops, caramel malt. Flavor of sweet fruits, Belgian yeast, melon rind, grassy hops and a bitter finish. While hops dominate the aroma, the flavor is mostly saison. Interesting beer, but itís a little sweet. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

On tap at the new Alís of Hampden/Pizza Boy Brewing. Very pale clear gold pour. Tons of mango, very tropical with some phenolic saison yeast notes, if I had to bet Iíd say 3711. Flavor is moderately hoppy, fruity flavor, yeasty finish, not quite clean.. Body is light and dry. Moderately quenching.

Campground Throwdown 2, growler, thanks Peregrinari. Medium off-white head atop clear light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/lemon, light spiciness. Taste is moderately sweet, lemon/orange, some spicy, light strawberry. Light-medium body, light stickiness.

2013-08-17. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma has hoppy, fruity character, over pale malt. Flavour is similar, mild bitterness, fruity hops, citrus in the middle. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay but needs more hop presence and doesnít quite come together for me. Growler at Campground Brewdown.

[5701-20130817] Growler. Fresh melon pineapple fruit aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter fruity melon hops in the flavour. Medium body. Interesting. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3
