hazy copper, large bubbled white head laces thickly. Manure-esque nose, dough and orange rind, juicy. Frothy body, light caramel and orange peel, moderate sugar with considerable under-attenuation. Too frothy and sweet trough the sticky finish.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden. Not a typical, "Me too" IPA, but not as refined as I would like.Distinct, perhaps the "sweetest" IPA that I have tried

On tap at Pizza Boy. Fairly heavy on the bitterness with moderate booze in the background. Enjoy the body could use a lot more hop flavor and aroma.

Growler from Simon. Pours hazy golden with thin head. Notes are creamy marshmallow, caramel malts, piney hops and lots of sugar. Very sweet and cloying. A tad too boozey for me. Medium to full body. Warming

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2013 Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden.
A - Pours golden yellow with a nice one finger tall white head leaving sticky rings of lace down most of the glass.
S - Smells of freshly juiced grapefruits, grassy hops, mildly toasted caramel malt and a dash of booze as it warms to room temperature. Fairly well balanced nose, nice.
T - Starts off with a nice grassy hop bite quickly giving way to the strong grapefruit flavor with the sugary sweet malt helping to round things out. A bit of booze comes in as it warms up. Finish is a little sweet with lots of hop bitterness, leaving the palate dried long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, sweet feel with lots of hop bitterness. Only a touch of the 9.7% shows.
O - A very nice DIPA. It has everything you would want in a DIPA yet it remains well balanced and easy to drink. One of the better hoppy beers Pizza Boy has made to date. Get some while you can.
