Bottle share, thank you Steve. Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Fantastic aroma of peach and funk, a little wine barrel. Nice fruity sour flavors with a little zip from the wine barrel treatment. Very fruit forward, but plenty of sour. Really nice.

Sample in less than ideal circumstances Transparant remnant of head, hazy yellow golden beer. Sour peaches, unripe nectarines, green herbs. Lactic and fruit acids. Sharp Very sharp sour flavour, fruit-, lactic- but definitely also acetic acid. Apricots at every new sip, but also a hint at incense. Puckeringly tart, difficult to swallow. Acidthinning and -burn to the extreme. Another one that is all sharpness instead of complexity. Txs to M & L V!

From notes. Enjoyed at Doug’s house for the Epic Peach and Apricot debacle of a tasting that happened on July 9. 750 mL bottle. The pour is a foggy golden orange-ish color with an off white head that falls slowly, leaving a thick ring. This thing is a lacto bomb. There is a nice apricot up front, but then the tart funky lacto sour moves in and I just can’t get past it. The flavor mimics this. There is a tartness up front that the juicy apricot comes into, and then the lacto just sours it up, and controls everything about the finish. The mouth feel is a bit heavier than a lot of the other beers we’d had. The carbonation is a little softer and the apricots are there on the aftertaste with a ton of lacto souring. This one I was heavily disappointed by. I wish there wasn’t so much emphasis on the lacto souring.

Bottle shared. Hazy bright golden with fizzy white head. Light lactic notes, lots of funk, apricot, nectarine, light hay, dough, orange peel, sweet white wine, salty crackers, light bandaids. Quite sour, with some light underlying sweetness and a touch of salt. Medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation.

At the epic peach/apricot sour tasting. Aroma is apricots, sour, tart, funk, really good. Appearance is golden amber, white head, slight haze. Taste is quite tart, apricot juice, funk, very sour, really nice. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, sour apricot funk aftertaste. Overall, very very good.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy sour apricot, peach, and lemon. It pours a dull cloudy orange with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy sour apricot and a touch of tropical fruits. The finish has moderate-heavy lemon, peach skins, and mild funk. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.
