Opaque black with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, coffee, and dark fruits. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, some burnt notes, chocolate, strong finish.

Pours a rich burnt wood black with a fizzy dark tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose with a rich chocolaty nose and some molasses. Rich coffee flavor and smooth body with a touch of alcohol. A touch of tiramisu as well. Medium full body with a touch of alcohol.

Growler... Motor oil-black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The aroma is a blend of peat smoke, dark-roast coffee grounds and burnt malts. Full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Sweeter than the base beer, this treatment provides a mixture of brownies, deeply-roasted coffee beans, fudge and charcoal. Lengthy, scorched, bittersweet, mocha finish. Growler courtesy of biggsbowler!

Poured from a 22oz bottle. Aroma is super coffee forward with a nice light chocolate note. Low nuttiness and fruit character. Hints of roast. Poured dark brown, not quite black with a dark tan head with decent retention. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet and chocolate forward with a nice light roast note. Moderate coffee and some light nuttiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice coffee stout with some good base character. Nice coffee notes that are strong and fresh.

Growler courtesy of Randall. Dark brown pour with a mocha head. All kinds of coffee aromas. Milder roasted malt, caramel, and bakers chocolate notes as compared to the base beer. A little less complex with bold black coffee highlights. Decent body and mouthfeel. Personally I prefer the base beer to this variant.

Sampled at the RBSG14 Grand Tasting - Pours dark brown with an orange head. The aroma has coffee, roastiness, nuts, cream and vanilla. It has a medium / full body with semi-sharp carbonation. The taste has the flavors of the aroma is on the full / rich side of things. The finish has lots of roasty coffee, but the other flavors keep it from being overwhelming to me. Very good for the style.
