SDbruboy (1750), San Diego, California, USA May 13, 2008 On draft at O’Briens. Arrives clear orange-amber with a moderate sized off-white head that leaves some lacing. Piney, resiny, brash citrus aroma with a little ripe summer fruit and a hint of toffee. Definitely a hop bomb in the flavor, big, puckery hop profile, with a bit more ripe fruit and hints of earth evident among the grapefruit juice, and pine oil hops, with a lingering astringent and resiny aftertaste. Indeed extreme, but kind of one dimensional for my current tastes. Medium to full body and gentle carbonation. hapjydeuce (472), Carlsbad, California, USA May 12, 2008 Bomber from the Lost Abbey Anniversary release. Sappy, sticky and saucy! Very nice DIPA. Clear golden orange, highly carbonated with sticky white fluff. Instant aroma of pine sap and high alpha acids. Orange citrus, grapefruit and fresh floral greenery wrapped up in the flavor. Ends with a huge prolonged resiny finish. Crisp with great drinkability. Very reminiscent of Hop 15. Like a sack of the sticky-icky...not that I would know...of course I wouldn’t... IrishBoy (1903), Bakersfield, California, USA May 12, 2008 Bomber shared by Odeed! Thanks Jake! Nose of ivy, citrus and flowery hops; lightly hazy orange with a medium offwhite head; Flavor is light hop bitterness, light caramel malt notes, and lots of hoppiness; finish is more bitter than the flavor and turns moderate. Odeed (1384), Bakersfield, California, USA May 12, 2008 translucent orange with a nice white fast fading head.the webbing fades just as fast.aroma is super sticky resiny hops.ice tea, pine citrus, and some malts is what i can grab from the nose.the flavor does exactly what the aroma did.this is a hop bomb with out all the bitterness.i love it. steview (717), Oceanside, California, USA May 10, 2008 bomber from the PP shop: strong... pine, mango, and melon aroma immediately... but then to pour it in a glass it becomes more complex--quiet pour; lazy, hazy golden straw body with a small, soapy white head; juicy, big, and smooth; sweet, wet beer with a dry finish, with notes of wood and alcohol; darn good, definitely an IIPA, but alcohol shows up too much that gives it a perfume characteristic, which may be good to you, but i would prefer something else in an IIPA.
