30/12/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Ambrata carica, abbastanza torbida, schiuma biancastra sporca, abbondante e molto persistente.

Draught at toronado. Hugely resinous nose, pine, grass, caramel, chocolate. Smooth, soft body, with again huge resins in the flavor, caramel, chocolate earth and pine. Dirty as hell but lovely.

Draught @ [ Sour&Bitter 2012 ] @ Refshalevej 163A, 1432 Copenhagen K, Denmark.

Clear dark brown amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120510]

Tap @ S&B. Deep red color with an off-white head. The nose is strong cherry and brown sugar, caramel malt. THe taste is light cherries, a bit of hot alcohol. A grassy hop presence does show itself through the bouncy, chewy malt body, giving this beer a very nice balance. The body’s light for the abv, and maybe even a bit thin. Overall, this beer’s lovely. Sweet, sure, but entirely drinkable. This was my favorite Pizza Port beer on the night.

Tap @ Sour’n’Bitter, 2012.
Pours deep chestnut with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has strawberries, caramel, peachy hops. Medium carbonation, fine creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweetish, resiny hops, strawberries, caramel, light vinious. Quite bitter finish.

On tap @ Sour & Bitter Dinner, Copenhagen. Deep coppery amber body, small off-white head. Aroma is piney hops, hints of licorice and sulfur and red berries. Taste is smooth pineapple tones, pine and grassy notes, hints of red berries and resin. A pretty smooth, balanced and drinkable ASA in the red ale-style of the category, though nothing too wonderful about this one.

Light head, red brown. Nose with caramel and cheese(!) fine body and some length. Sweetly dry red fruit, dry hoppines - though not bitter. Inballanced with weird notes - sharp , but drinkable.

On tap at Sour & Bitter. Clear dark brown beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is minerally, fresh and crisp. Nice malt base - salty caramel and toffee. Hops are nicely skunk but also with fresh tropical fruits. Really well joined up. Crisp minerally finish.
