Pours a nearly black opaque with a taupe head. Smoky, coffee, and cherry aromas. Mouthfeel is so smooth, creamy, silky, bordering on viscous. A lot of chocolate, coffee and sweet lactose. Finishes with some bitterness, coming from a combination of bittering hops and coffee acidity.

On tap at Pizza Port Solana Beach. Hazy light gold color. Medium head with low carbonation. Aroma is grassy with light hops, some citrus and pear. Crisp floral flavor, not lasting. Grainy character on the back end. Peppery throughout, noticeable alcohol. Pretty good.

Yellow hay clear, tap pour. Smells like an ipa, bitter with citrus. Tastes light bitter with great floral, and a big hit of wheat. Good stuff

Pizza port able. On tap at 3f. Awesome... Pours a slightly hazy orange tea-like hue and topped with a creamy white head... Aroma is somewhat subdued semi-sweet tropical fruitiness while reinforced with a malty backbone... Flavors are a continuation of the same. Mostly bitter piney citrus notes and finishes in a similar manner. Malt present to some degree adding a sweeter note. Somewhat of a boozy finish, semi- warming. Medium to fullbodied. Less sweet than shark pants and a bit more to my style but ultimately not all that exciting. Despite that, pretty solid. 7/4/7/4/15

Draft. Clear darker gold pour, white head. Grapefruit, lightly sweet malt, very bitter sharp hops, and lemon. This was almost too bitter for me, still quite nice.

Tap @ Falling Rock, Denver. Pours clear golden with a small white hear. Aroma of pine, grafruit, melon and orangepeel. Taste is very fresh with citruss like lemon, grapefruit, pine, kiwi and some sweetness like caramel from malt. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very nice and refreshing IIPA. 210211

A: The beer pours a translucent golden amber color with a dense white head. S: Smells incredibly fruity with tons of grapefruit, tangerine, orange, and lemon zest. There is a lot of floral contribution too, and quite a bit of pine. Some sweet caramel notes from the malt eventually find their way into the nose. T: The flavor is almost perfumey. An intense grapefruit and floral character that is just very fresh and vibrant. The beer is slightly sweet with some definite caramel notes coming through, but the pine provides a strong bitterness. M: Medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation and a touch of bitterness lingering on the finish. D: I thought this was some pretty damn good stuff. I seem to have been skimping on my hoppy beer consumption lately, so a good DIPA from Pizza Port was just the trick.

Growled thanks to largadeer. Brilliant clear copper in color with a big foamy white head and thick lacing. Big citrusy aroma, grapefruit, orange, and peach, with pine resin. The flavor is nice, with a bit of sweet malt and then a huge hop punch of brutal grapefruit, orange rind, pine, and resin. Medium-plus bodied with a very oily and resinous mouthfeel. Solid stuff, not mind-blowing but very good.

On tap@PPSB: Hazy peach color with a small off-white head. Aroma is tropical fruit sweet. Flavor starts rich and fruity with a hint of caramel followed by orangy citrus and a lingering medium grapefruit finish. Medium body is smooth with moderate carbonation.

Pours hazy orange with a small white head that leaves some lace. Smells crisp and citrusy, grassy hoppy. A dipa that tastes different for once crisp and green and very, very bitter. Green and grassy hop flavors. Very nice. Medium, somewhat disappointing body, good carbonation.
